I am available for foster or adoption

Good day!  My name is Aries.  I am a cool gal and am looking for a loving family. I was found in Maricopa County earlier this year and taken to the shelter. I was pregnant and scared. The shelter said I was aggressive and needed to be put down.  A really nice lady pulled me from the shelter and helped me have my cute little puppies. They all found wonderful homes but I have not yet.

Before coming to Pets Return Home I was at a foster home with a bunch of other dogs.  Most were small dogs and I scared them becasue I was bigger – LOL I am only 35 pounds but for a 12 pounder I am huge.  Anyway these dogs would make me nervous becasue of their fear and then my nervousness would frighten them more and we would roll out of control with fear.

At Pets Return Home I am learning confidence and trust of humans and dogs. I have made some good friends here at the ranch. I like other dogs but if I had my choice I would be with my human all the time. I am protective of my human and am cautious of male humans until they prove they are not going to hurt me. I have manu human male friends here at the ranch.

I do have some fear issues when meeting people for the first time.  But once I get to know someone I show them my wiggle butt, sailing tail and my kisses. I like to please and be touched. I am really am a good dog, crate trained, house trained and I listen well.  Why don’t you come see me and take me for a walk or an over-nighter at your house?

Behavioral notes:
Aries has a high level of anxiety and should be fostered or adopted by experienced dog people.  She can get along with other dogs once properly introduced.  She is prone to lunging at unknown people. This is diminishing with ongoing training. She has shepherd in her which makes her protective of the ones she loves.  Her past life must have been filled with stress and uncertainty.  She is a great loving and affectionate dog – but needs understanding and patience to survive.  She is worth the effort.

Come see Aries and the other homeless dogs & maybe find a new friend.
